National Qualifications System Briefing Day Organized in Şanlıurfa
The third event of the National Qualifications System Briefing Days, organized as part of the Technical Assistance Project for the Operation for the Implementation of the Turkish Qualifications System and Framework (TUYEP), took place at the Dedeman Hotel in Şanlıurfa on 1 December 2022.
Adem CEYLAN, the head of the Vocational Qualifications Authority, delivered the event’s opening remarks. The regional stakeholders of the project, which aims to provide qualified workers to the labor market by implementing the Turkish Qualifications Framework and assisting individuals to obtain VQA Vocational Qualification Certificates, gathered for the event.
On the event where detailed information on the National Qualification System and Examination and Certification Processes was shared, project key experts also presented the National Qualifications Systems in Europe. The activities of the Vocational Qualifications Authority in this area were presented at the event, which emphasized the significance of a qualified workforce and documented competencies.
In the second part of the event, current developments in the European Lifelong Learning Approach were addressed. The project key experts provided information regarding the European Qualifications Framework and the Turkish Qualifications Framework. In addition to commercial and professional organization representatives from Şanlıurfa, the event was attended by numerous teachers and academics.
