Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF) Strategy Paper Online Consultation Meeting was held on 25 March 2021 under the Technical Assistance for “Implementation of the Turkish Qualifications System and Framework Operation (TUYEP)”.

During the online event, the opening speakers were TQF Council Vice President and TÜRK-İŞ (Confederation of Turkish Trade Unions) representative Mr. Enis Bağdadioğlu, TQF Council President and Ministry of National Education’s (MoNE) General Director of Vocational and Technical Education General Directorate Prof. Dr. Kemal Varın Numanoğlu, TQF Council representative for Council of Higher Education (CoHE) and Rector of Tarsus University Prof. Dr. Orhan Aydın, and President of Vocational Qualification Authority (VQA) Mr. Adem Ceylan.

Following the opening speeches, Head of Turkish Qualifications Framework Department Mr. Osman Seçkin Akbıyık presented the TQF Strategy Paper.

After Mr. Akbıyık’s presentation, the Consultation Meeting continued with a workshop on “Responsibilities and Road Map”. For this workshop, the participants were divided into three separate working groups where the responsible bodies of TQF –MoNE, CoHE, and VQA- discussed their roles and responsibilities under TQF Strategy Paper. These three institutions then shared their road maps about the future of TQF for discussion with all the key stakeholders.

The afternoon session of the Consultation Meeting began with a workshop on “Priorities” stated in the Strategy Paper. The participants discussed “Finalising/Populating TQF”, “Quality Assurance/Enchancement”, “Acces and Progression”, and “International Dimension” under four working groups.

The Consultation Meeting was then finalised by the National Qualifications Framework Expert of TUYEP Project Mr. Gerard Madill who summarised the key points made during the two workshops of the event.
