Training for Authorised Certification Bodies
On 8th May 2023, a training workshop was held in Grand Ankara Hotel for VQA’s Authorised Certification Bodies (ACBs). 350 delegates from ACBs across Turkiye attended the one-day event.
The workshop started with the opening speeches of Head of Vocational Qualifications Authority, Mr. Cemal Cihan Coşkun, Head of the European Union and Financial Assistance Department of the Ministry of Labour and Social security. Ms. Süreyya Erkan, Sector Manager from EU Delegation to Türkiye Mr. Mustafa Balcı.
Following the opening speeches, Prof. Dr. Cem Oktay Güzeller gave a presentation on the preparation processes and applications of alternative measurement tools in the assessment of National Qualifications. Delegates were then divided into 4 groups, with each group receiving training on the same topics:
- Actions and Announcements related to Data Losses,
- Recent changes in the regulations of the Vocational Qualifications Authority,
- The use of portfolios and e-portfolios in gathering evidence of competence.
Each group also had an Open Forum session with Elif Özlem BABAOĞLU, Head of VQA’s Testing and Certification department, during which delegates expressed their opinions and suggestions on various issues.
